There is a long step from the dock and narrow stairs inside. The step changes with the tide, so good balance is needed. Not ideal for limited mobility.
Showers
Hot water on board is limited. The Perry's private bathhouse is a short stroll away and most guests love it. We send you the access code.
Boat life
Casa Azul stays moored during your stay and sways softly in the breeze. The onboard toilet is serviced weekly — light use is appreciated.
Island nature
Expect sea air, curious roosters, fish, the occasional manatee and small sea bugs on the seawalls. We pretreat the boat regularly.

A private, quiet and beautiful little oasis that we called home. We enjoyed drinks on our back deck and upstairs for sunsets and star gazing. We're already planning our next trip.
From the boat we watched fish and manatees in the water and enjoyed stargazing from the rooftop at night. The shuttle to Duval St was perfect. We would stay again!
I loved waking up on the water looking at all of the boats and being able to use the amenities at the Perry Hotel. The boat is really cute, the bed is comfy and the rooftop deck is great for morning coffee.
The location was stunning and peaceful with many amazing amenities, the houseboat was clean and cozy; we did not want our getaway to end. Very grateful for such a nice birthday trip!

Where is the Casa Azul houseboat located?
Casa Azul is docked at The Perry Marina, 7001 Shrimp Road, on Stock Island in Key West, Florida. It is about 15 minutes by car or shuttle from Duval Street and about 10 minutes from Key West International Airport (EYW).
How many guests can stay?
Casa Azul sleeps up to 3 guests in one bedroom with a queen bed, plus a comfortable living area. It is ideal for couples, honeymooners, solo travelers and remote workers.
Can we use The Perry Hotel pools and gym?
Yes. Your stay includes access to The Perry Hotel & Marina amenities: two swimming pools, a 24-hour fitness center, dockside restaurants and bars, private bathhouses, laundry facilities, dog parks and the Captain's Lounge.
Is there a shower and toilet on board?
The houseboat has a compact bathroom, but hot water on board is limited, so most guests prefer the clean, private marina bathhouse a short walk from the boat. You receive the access code at check-in.
Is Casa Azul suitable for limited mobility?
Boarding requires a long step from the dock and narrow stairs, and the step height changes with the tide. Casa Azul is best suited to guests who are comfortable with stairs and have good balance. Please reach out if you have any concerns.
How do we get to Duval Street?
The Perry Hotel runs a shuttle to Old Town Key West (currently from about 9am to 11pm; schedule subject to change). Rideshare costs roughly $15 each way, and golf carts, scooters and bikes can be rented nearby. Free parking for one vehicle is included.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Self check-in with a lockbox is from 3:00 pm and check-out is before 10:00 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible on request.
Is Casa Azul LGBTQ+ friendly?
